Dear Judges,
Hi, my name is Erin Payne I am 17 years old and a senior at Gahanna lincoln High School. I chose to participate in senior project because I thought this class would be a fun way to research a career that I am interested in, giving me information to see if this is the career I would really like to pursue. I also chose to take this class because i like the fact its at your own speed. It showed me how to manage my time more wisely and to stay more on top of this, and i know learning that i will help me a lot in college.
I chose to research Fashion styling and other types of styling. I have always had a love for fashion. As a little girl i can remember always watching Americas Next Top model and being in love with all the outfits and designers, or trying on my moms heels and walking around like I was a model, or her getting mad at me for cutting clothes out of her magazines and making my own outfits out if them! I chose to make a style book be as my product. A style book is something a stylist makes to show their clients outfits and styles the created for them to wear. A style book has different outfits for each season and fashion trends for each season of the year.
I believe I gained a lot for my research and completing this project. I think doing this project opened my eyes to how easy it to get of track and fall behind if you are not self motivated and do not mange your time well. I learned that making a self plan or timeline is very helpful when trying to stick to deadline. Using this timelines makes it so much easier to turn things in one time because you have a constant reminder of when it is due. I really in joyed being in this class and I believe i grew a lot as person during the process of creating my project.
